Frontier Accelerate Partner Activities are the engagement portfolio within AI Business Solutions (ABS), bringing together Microsoft’s partner investments across three solution workloads:

Frontier Accelerate for Copilot
Frontier Accelerate for AI-Ready Productivity
Frontier Accelerate for Business Processes

Together, these investments enable you to support customers across every stage of the Frontier Transformation journey, from pre-sales envisioning and proof-of-concept through post-sales deployment, adoption, optimization, competitive replacement, and long-term value realization.

Frontier Accelerate incentives drive revenue and usage through our partner ecosystem, across all ABS GTM conversations (see “Investments aligned to MCEM” image).

What to expect from FY27 Frontier Accelerate Incentives for ABS

The FY27 Frontier Accelerate incentive portfolio was designed around the following principles:

Unified, agent-first engagements with expanded incentives and recognition
Expanded support for SMB coverage
Full flexibility for partners to define the customer journey based on specific needs
Repeatable engagements that help customers continuously realize value
Performance-evaluated engagements with a focus on outcomes, requiring partners to drive measurable customer growth in revenue or usage on a minimum number of engagements
Customer eligibility will be tenant-based, continuing FY26 guidelines
Capture competitive replacement opportunities where applicable

Partner performance measurement and accountability continuing in FY27

Performance measurement continues across all Frontier Accelerate engagements with metric updates to reinforce high-quality execution and measurable customer outcomes.

How it works:

Partners will need to maintain a 33% portfolio performance rate, which means that 33% of the completed engagements would need to meet defined performance criteria—a minimum growth in revenue or usage, monitored in quarterly milestones over 12 months after the engagement is completed.
The portfolio performance rate will include FY26 engagements that are still in the 12-month monitoring period and FY27 engagements as they mature into Milestone 1.
Partners will be paused for claiming new engagements if their portfolio performance rate falls below the required 33%.
If a partner is paused, in-progress engagements can continue to be delivered as per the incentive rules.
Microsoft will continue to pay partners for any claimed engagement that is completed and meets the POE requirements as per the incentive rules. Payment for an engagement completed as per incentive rules is not contingent on meeting performance measurement requirements.
Partners will be provided access to web-based reporting to track progress against the defined partners measures—aka.ms/ASPXMCI

Concurrent Engagement Cap

The concurrent engagement cap will apply to all Frontier Accelerate partner investments in FY27.

Concurrent engagement volume caps limit the maximum active claims a partner can have at any one time.
Partners exceeding this limit may be paused from nominating new Frontier Accelerate engagements.
This cap will be applied at the PartnerOne level.
Globally managed partners are those who operate globally in most of the Microsoft geographic areas. All other services partner organizations are considered non-global partners.
Claims nominated in FY26 and still Active will count towards the maximum concurrent cap limit. Q1 will be provided as a grace period to allow partners to reduce claims to meet the cap.

Design, build, and deploy agentic solutions using Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, and Power Platform, while enabling governance and lifecycle management through Agent 365.
