Power Platform practice opens new transformation opportunities

Originally founded as a robotic process automation (RPA) consultancy, Robiquity developed its expertise on traditional solutions like Blue Prism and UiPath helping organizations streamline operational processes. In 2021, the Robiquity team was working with one of the largest travel companies in the world, WebBeds, to automate contact center operations when they decided to utilize Power Pages as the customer-facing interface for self-service workstreams. The project ended up massively transforming the client’s customer service operations and also served as a turning point for Robiquity’s business. “After that project, we knew that Power Platform was a solution that enabled us to deliver bigger, more valuable projects and solve more strategic problems,” said Jack Rimmer, Founder at Robiquity.

Robiquity began cross-skilling its RPA experts on Microsoft Power Platform, preserving its vast knowledge of process automation while growing its low-code capabilities and expertise. Four years later, 70 percent of its 185 employees are dedicated to Power Platform projects and 80 percent of the company’s pipeline is filled by Power Platform engagements. “We have transitioned from an RPA provider to a low-code digital transformation partner that has unique heritage in automation and a reach into AI,” said Rimmer. “We are deploying between 20 to 30 solutions into production every quarter across a broad range of commercial and public sector customers, and the growth opportunity has only expanded with the addition of agentic AI capabilities in tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio.”

Global logistics firm creates huge impact with automation and AI

One of the commercial customers that Robiquity has partnered with to improve operations around automation and generative AI is Evri, who are on track to become the UK’s premier parcel delivery company. With more than 900 million parcels delivered annually, its predominantly manual customer service operation identified that it could benefit from the use of AI. Robiquity worked with Evri to develop a simplified and more intuitive interface in Power Apps and cloud flows in Power Automate to speed up and automate routine customer service tasks and then record those actions within the customer relationship management (CRM) system. The solution gives customer service agents the ability to streamline tasks, such as triggering automated wrap-up emails based on pre-set templates. It also frees up advisors to work on more complex queries needing human intervention.

Since its deployment, Evri has reduced advisor handling time from an average of 3.5 minutes to just 1 minute, and in turn getting answers more quickly for consumers. The need for temporary contract workers has also been dramatically reduced, resulting in more than £1.65 million in savings from this project alone.

After initial low-code success with customer service processes, Evri worked with Robiquity to grow its use of Power Platform, automating more than 25 additional processes throughout its business – driving £9 million in cost savings. “The majority of this work is low-code application delivery. We collaborate closely with Evri’s engineering team to identify where low code can replace bespoke engineering to be quicker, cheaper, and deliver better results, which not only saves money but frees up the engineering team to deliver more functionality to customer-facing applications,” said James Procter, COO at Robiquity.

One of the applications that Robiquity created improves how Evri manages the company’s fleet of more than 6,000 vehicles, which were previously tracked manually. All vehicle data is now stored in Microsoft Dataverse, and a Power App surfaces information and action items about licensing, tax, and maintenance requirements, along with providing insights into sourcing vehicles from one region to another based on changing capacity needs. To make the solution even easier to use, Robiquity created an AI agent with Copilot Studio that allows fleet managers to use natural language to talk to the app on their mobile devices. “Fifty percent of the fleet management capabilities are delivered through this agentic workflow. The chat interface makes it much easier to interact and perform basic activities when personnel are on the move,” said Procter. The response to this AI agent has been overwhelmingly positive. “We’ve only just deployed this agent and I’ve already had finance, customer service, and HR all coming to us asking for similar agents,” said Chris Gatrell, Head of Intelligent Automation at Evri.

UK police force improves delivery of domestic abuse prevention data

Robiquity is also seeing strong demand for low-code solutions in the public sector, particularly law enforcement. One customer, Durham Constabulary, was looking for a way to improve its compliance with critical Clare’s Law and Sarah’s Law disclosures. Sarah’s Law gives parents or guardians in England and Wales the right to ask police whether someone with access to a child has a record of child sexual offenses, while Clare’s Law allows the police to disclose whether someone’s partner has a history of domestic abuse. Both laws provide crucial data for protecting safety, and applications for this information in England and Wales have grown 300 percent over the past five years.

Regulations set a 28-day service level agreement (SLA) for processing and responding to inquiries, and Durham Constabulary was hard pressed to meet that deadline given the large influx of requests – particularly since fulfilling them relied upon manual processes through emails, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets that were slow and inefficient. Working with Robiquity, a centralized solution using Power Apps and Power Automate was created to automatically manage each stage of the disclosure process at the click of a button, providing notifications for approaching deadlines to alert officers when information is due. It also allows officers to record notes on each application providing a clear audit trail, along with introducing efficiencies like automated notifications to social services or other third parties that reduce the need for phone calls.

Since being implemented, the Power Platform solution has reduced the average time to provide this potentially life-saving information to an average of 17 days, saving more than 10 days off of the previous standard of 28 days or more. “The force recognized the need to improve the efficiency of its Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme to protect potential victims and prevent abuse. I was pleased to offer my support, commissioning Robiquity to design a solution that has not only increased the speed at which disclosures are made, but has also freed up valuable police time to spend on other frontline duties,” said Joy Allen, Durham Police and Crime Commissioner. Durham Constabulary has been recognized for its pioneering work on this project, winning the “Tech for Good” award at the Digital Revolution Awards in May 2025.

Robiquity is already working with several other UK law enforcement teams on deploying low-code automation solutions for streamlining disclosures related to Clare’s Law and similar regulations. “We are very proud of the impact the Durham Constabulary solution has on public safety. We want to make those capabilities available to other communities across the UK,” said Procter. “Low code and AI are great for solving problems around data, and the Microsoft Cloud stack, including Power Platform, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and Azure can help us solve public sector challenges quickly and at scale.”

RPA migration creates foundation for agentic AI, expands innovation

One of the key drivers for the growth of Robiquity’s Power Platform practice is the ability to provide a solid path to agentic AI. Traditional, on-premises RPA solutions do not handle data in an agentic, accessible model, meaning Robiquity has seen a significant uptick in requests for RPA to Power Platform migrations. “There is a huge opportunity for us to help clients on their AI journey,” said Rimmer. “With our technical knowledge of legacy platforms, it is very easy for us to navigate these migrations to Power Platform as part of a holistic, AI-ready transformation. It’s a really unique selling point for us.”

Once the migration is complete, Robiquity can help evaluate automations and determine which could be moved to a self-service model, and use Copilot Studio to build agents that transition relevant capabilities to end-to-end agentic workflows. “If we win an RPA migration project, there’s typically at least five years’ worth of growth in that account to deliver net new value with Power Platform and Copilot Studio,” commented Rimmer.

All of this bodes well for the Robiquity team, who continues to leverage their RPA expertise to drive low-code and AI innovation. Rimmer concluded, “We are extremely proud of the work we’ve done so far, and the evolving portfolio of Microsoft tools is only going to continue allowing us to build more sophisticated solutions and address more and more complex challenges moving forward. This is just the start.”
