Dynamics 365 Partner Tools
Learn how you can tap into partner tools to accelerate discovery, improve migration accuracy, and reduce delivery costs, timelines, and risks for Dynamics 365 implementations.
These tools can be used independently or together. There is no rigid sequence enforced, allowing partners the flexibility to apply the tools based on customer scenario, deal maturity, and their own delivery approach.

Typical steps in discovery and analysis
How to use Dynamics 365 sales tools
Microsoft provides partners access to a set of presales and deployment tools, including the Discovery tools (GYDE365/MAC) and the Data Assessment and Data Migration Tool (DAT/DMT), to help assess, position, and deliver Dynamics 365 projects. Access to these tools is enabled through participation in Microsoft programs such as the CRM Modernization program, CX Accelerate, or CCaaS Acceleration programs where a deal nomination and approval unlock partner access.
When a deal is approved under the program, tool usage is covered as part of the program benefits. Outside of an approved nomination, access may require separate commercial arrangements with the tool providers (and may come at an additional cost).
Getting access to partner tools
Work with the Microsoft seller on a deal to submit the deal to the CRM Modernization Program to get free access to these tools as part of program benefits.
Aligns to Microsoft Customer Engagement Methodology (MCEM) Stages 1 and 2
Analyzes a customer's current environment to accelerate data schema creation and migration to Dynamics 365, including metadata, forms, views, and custom code, while enabling data transformation and cleansing before final migration. It also provides agentic capabilities to automate Azure resource setup, suggest field mappings, and generate code recommendations for customizations.
Input: Salesforce environment, including objects, metadata, and customizations, CRM Envisioning Workshop transcripts, meeting transcripts
Output: Assessment Report detailing current solution scope (number of records, customer objects, complexity) and inferred business requirements
Aligns to MCEM Stages 1 and 2
GYDE 365 Discover: Used during the discovery phase of CRM migration projects to capture and analyze business and functional requirements by processing CRM Envisioning workshop transcripts and assessment reports, then automatically matching them to a requirements library and performing fit-gap analysis. It streamlines the process by reducing manual effort, pre-filling requirements based on complexity, and providing estimated design and build hours.
Input: Dynamics Assessment Tool report, CRM Envisioning workshop transcripts, meeting transcripts
Output: Inferred business and functional requirements, fit-gap analysis (against requirements library), complexity ratings, estimated design/build hours, summary of key topics, and follow-up questions from discovery sessions.
Migration Assessment Copilot (MAC): An agentic feature within GYDE 365 Discover that automates the extraction and analysis of requirements from workshop transcripts and current environment assessment reports, whereas GYDE 365 Discover provides the overall framework and requirements library for discovery and fit-gap analysis. MAC specifically processes and infers requirements from unstructured documents and matches them to the requirements library, reducing manual input, while GYDE 365 Discover also allows for manual entry and rapid workshop-based requirement selection. MAC adds automation and intelligence to the discovery process, enabling faster and more accurate requirement mapping and complexity estimation
