Growing Microsoft Cloud footprint with AI-powered solutions

Microsoft software development partner Seismic, a global leader in enablement solutions, has integrated its enablement platform with Office 365, Teams, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform to equip organizations with the ability to access information and resources in their normal flow of work. In addition to building connectors for Microsoft Cloud applications, Seismic leverages Microsoft Power Automate to enable automation of content production and drive seller efficiency and productivity. “Seismic provides clients with the source of truth for sharing information with their customers, so whether it is Microsoft or other third-party software, we are committed to supplying the connections and integrations needed to deliver the best possible experience,” said Chris Buchholz, Director of Product Management for AI & Search at Seismic.

With the release of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales, Seismic wanted to tap into AI-powered productivity and insights to further enable sellers using the Microsoft stack. The team developed Seismic Aura AI—an enterprise-grade AI engine that includes key features like Aura Copilot, which integrates reliable Seismic content directly within Microsoft 365 Copilot to improve information access, and Role-Play Agent, which simulates customer conversations to help sellers prepare for meetings. “Through Seismic Aura AI, we provide all of the functionalities we co-build and integrate into Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot for Sales,” said Buchholz. “For example, you can ask Microsoft 365 Copilot where to find specific content, or you can have content recommendations provided for you automatically when asking Copilot for Sales to draft an email. We make sure that the experience is as seamless as possible, whatever your Copilot strategy is.”

Strong early momentum for Seismic Aura AI

Seismic introduced its first AI-powered solutions in 2015, followed by its first AI engine, Aura AI in 2021, and added generative AI to the Aura AI solution in 2023. Since its launch in 2023, 95 customers have added Seismic Aura AI to their Seismic platform, allowing sellers to find answers to questions within the Microsoft apps they use for everyday work—and that number is growing steadily. In the past 12 months, more than 3.7 million AI activities in the Seismic Cloud Enablement Platform were powered by Aura AI—helping users fuel their go-to-market (GTM) projects with AI-generated learning content, meeting summaries, post-meeting recommendations, and more. “The world is moving more towards actionable insights, more customization and personalization, and Aura is bringing those experiences together,” said Rohit Karanam, Senior Director, Product Management at Seismic.

One of the customers taking advantage of Aura AI is Freshworks, a global provider of modern, cloud-based customer and employee experience software serving over 74,000 businesses worldwide. Freshworks implemented the Seismic platform to unify its enablement stack and transform the way global revenue teams engage buyers. With Seismic, Freshworks has saved more than 57,000 hours annually, streamlining onboarding, learning, and content delivery. Now the organization is leveraging Seismic Aura AI to further reduce friction in the selling process and empower sellers to focus on high-value interactions. “AI should help sellers spend more time selling—not figuring out what to do next. It's about enabling focus, not adding complexity,” said Ian Tickle, Chief of Global Field Operations at Freshworks.

Microsoft marketplace enables broader reach

Seismic has made its Aura AI solution transactable on Microsoft Azure Marketplace and has published all of its Microsoft Cloud connectors on AppSource, making it easy for customers to access and purchase them. Publishing transactable solutions within the marketplace has allowed Seismic to take advantage of enhanced co-selling opportunities and incentives. “If you want to truly take advantage of all of the benefits of the Microsoft partnership around the GTM motion, marketplace has to be part of the equation,” said Keith McConaghy, RVP of Global Partnerships and Ecosystem at Seismic.

Seismic plans to continue to leverage the marketplace and other Microsoft programs to gain traction for its AI-powered enablement tools. “We're focused on expanding our surface area across Microsoft solutions,” said McConaghy. “As the Microsoft 365 Copilot framework grows, we will absolutely grow with it.”
